Ceramic & Specialty Burs

Pedicare offers a large selection of Rotatool ceramic burs and specialty trephine burs.  Many podiatrists and foot care professionals prefer to use ceramic burs as they are lighter in weight, more economical but less durable vs. diamond or carbide burs. Their lighter weight facilitates smoother cutting, which enhances the experience of treating diseased nails.  Ceramic burs also generate less heat than carbide burs, making them ideal for reducing thick nails.   They are also appropriate for use with patients who have an allergy to metal and should avoid stainless steel and carbide burs.
